Cashmere People Tajik Cashgora
Cashgora is its own animal, not a blend of fibers. It’s a crossbreed between angora goats (mohair) and cashmere-producing goats. These animals are raised in Tajikistan and Afghanistan. The fiber is washed in Afghanistan. And the yarn is handspun by co-operatives of women in Tajikistan. Each skein has a picture of the woman who spun that yarn. The yarn is hand-dyed in 24 colors and is also available in two natural colors - a white (Pamirs) and a brown (Scree). Twist carries the SPORT weight.
