Cashgora is its own animal, not a blend of fibers. It’s a cross breed between angora goats (mohair) and cashmere producing goats. These animals are raised in Tajikistan and Afghanistan. The fiber is washed in Afghanistan. And the yarn is handspun by co-operatives of women in Tajikistan. Each skein has a picture of the woman who spun that yarn. The yarn is hand-dyed in 24 colors and is also available in two natural colors - a white (Pamirs) and a brown (Scree). Twist carries the SPORT weight.
