Class - No Fear Shorty Socks

Description:Learn to knit socks by knitting this “vanilla” shorty version. It’s a classic stockinette shorty sock that is knit cuff-down with a heel flap and gusset and standard toe. By knitting a shorty sock, you can skip the leg and get right down to the key parts of every sock - the heel and toe!

Expertise:You should come to class with some comfortability with the following skills: cast-on and knit in the round on a small circumference in your chosen method (see needles list below), increase and decrease, and create consistent stockinette and ribbing fabrics.

Materials: Suitable sock yarn to achieve gauge (fingering weight wool with a tight twist, perhaps with a bit of nylon or polyamide to add strength). US1 needles suitable for working small circumference in the round (e.g.set of 5 Double Point Needles, 32” or 40” Circular for Magic Loop, or 9” Circular), locking stitch markers, darning needle
